Let The Grass Grow Green
by Ruth Martin
People Smuggling – Abduction – A fight for survival in wild Cornish waters.
Set in late 1950’s Cornwall in the fictional villages of Corinn and Trebarthy, Sally Barras is invited to ‘Tremallion,’ the family home of her fiancee, Simon Carey.
Sally feels a sense of foreboding when Simon’s twin brother suddenly turns up at ’Tremallion.’ Piers Carey is brash, overconfident, out for trouble and the complete opposite of Simon’s quiet disposition.
Stories of local smugglers, people trafficking and pirate ghosts, do nothing to allay Sally’s fears, when she discovers that Piers is involved in the activities on the shores below ’Tremallion.’ Taken hostage by Piers is enough to put her in fear of her life and lose her beloved Simon.

Love this book. You would never guess it was written so long ago as it is very modern in its storytelling. A great read where at the end of each chapter you want to read the next. Highly recommended.
